About the Owners...

Tim and Fe welcome you!

Tim's Thai opened in April 1984
- the first Thai restaurant in Gainesville,
and possibly the first in North Central Florida.

Vaitip “Tim” is from Bangkok, Thailand.
He has a degree in Accounting from Assumption Commercial College in Bangkok and a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management from Paul Smith's College in upstate New York.

Fe “Fay” is a Registered Nurse from the Philippines.
She worked in New York City as a Head nurse in Pediatric ICU and as a Utilization Review Nurse.

They both worked at Shands Hospital in Gainesville prior to opening Tim's Thai.
